The sixth form of 420 students continues to prosper with the majority of our students staying on after year 11. The teaching staff are all specialists in their separate areas and permanently contracted to the school. Year on year the school attracts a high number of first choice applications, with a record number of first choice places allocated this year. The school has a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of all the students and provides them with a pathway towards their chosen careers. The school is a happy, flourishing and mutually respectful place of learning.
The latest Ofsted report describes it as a place where “students have excellent opportunities to make progress” in a secure and happy environment. Government figures reveal that students at Woodbridge achieve beyond their expected performance levels.
The school has a commitment to high standards and to the success of every student. Our ethos, often called ‘The Woodbridge Way’ is centred on the importance of kindness, tolerance, celebration of our diversity, respect and aiming for excellence. It is reinforced by the school's motto: ‘Pride in Achievement’.
Students at Woodbridge benefit from first class facilities including a new expressive arts building, new fitness suite, an artificial grass pitch, outdoor football areas, basketball nets and table-tennis tables, a refurbished sports hall, state-of-the-art sound and lighting system in the hall and remodelled Sixth Form Study area with its own café.
Woodbridge is a diverse school with a welcoming and friendly environment offering a wide range of subjects. The teachers are nice and help you out any way they can.
Woodbridge High School is an amazing school. The teachers are friendly and the lessons exciting. There is an excellent behaviour system which rewards students accordingly. The canteens serve a wide variety of food which cater for everyone.
Woodbridge is amazing in the way that it provides a safe, positive, learning environment to students of all diverse backgrounds – this is what I love about Woodbridge.
My teachers have always met my individual needs, regardless of whether I'm strong at a particular subject or find it more challenging. This has been key to my academic success here at Woodbridge.
