GCSE Results 2018

Woodbridge are extremely pleased to celebrate our best ever GCSE results.

We are extremely pleased with another year of excellent GCSE results.

Across the country students have been receiving results in the new-style GCSEs graded from 9 to 1. These new GCSEs are considerably more difficult than the previous versions.

Given these significant changes to the examination system, Woodbridge students have yet again risen to the challenge and performed strongly. We achieved our best ever GCSE results with a record 74% of our students gaining grade 4 or better in both English and Maths, and 51% gaining grade 5 or better in both subjects.

We have also seen an increase in A* and grade 9 GCSEs across all subjects, with Woodbridge students gaining a total of 62 grade 9s in the new GCSEs and 13 A*s in the remaining old-style GCSEs. We are particularly pleased with this achievement given that grade 9 is set at a higher level than the old grade A*.

A Level Results 2018

Students at Woodbridge are to be congratulated on their excellent results. Once again, we are delighted with the outstanding progress and attainment that the students have made.

As always, our students have worked extremely hard to achieve excellent A Level grades across a wide range of subjects. In many cases, students have achieved grades that will enable them to go on to study their chosen courses at universities across the country. This is a very exciting time for them and their families.

We have seen an increase this year in the percentage of our students gaining A* and A grades in their A Levels, which is particularly pleasing. First and foremost, however, today is about celebrating the results of each of our individual students.

We also congratulate our students who have completed their vocational courses and will now progress on to university and employment. Our excellent sustained record of ‘value-added’ over many years confirms that we are a leading sixth form provider in the Borough.
