Woodbridge High School

About Us

Woodbridge High School is a thriving, ethnically diverse, successful comprehensive secondary school that serves its local community in the heart of Woodford.

The school is a ten form entry school with 300 students in each year. The sixth form continues to prosper with the majority of our students staying on after year 11. The teaching staff are all specialists in their separate areas and permanently contracted to the school. Year on year the school attracts a high number of first choice applications. The school has a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of all the students and provides them with a pathway towards their chosen careers. Many students move on to universities with a good number attending Russell Group institutions. The school is a happy, flourishing and mutually respectful place of learning.

The most recent Ofsted report confirms that we continue to be a good school. It mentions many areas where we have made further gains since our last inspection.

The report states that:

  • “The Leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school”
  • “Pupils’ outcomes are improving”, enrichment activities are well organised and pay attention to pupils’ needs”
  • “Progress in the sixth form was strong”
  • “The school community is a harmonious environment”

Students, parents, the governing body and staff have very good reason to reflect happily on our achievements.

Students at Woodbridge benefit from first class facilities including a fitness centre, dance studio, artificial grass pitch, outdoor basketball nets and table-tennis tables, refurbished sports hall and performance theatre.

If, as a parent or carer of a pupil attending this school, you require a paper copy of the information on this website, we shall provide this free of charge.

NELTA Woodbridge High School is a collaborative partner in the North East London Teaching Alliance. This is a professional group of local schools and other educational institutions who are committed to collectively improving our educational standards.
